REFACE OR REPLACE?

Not all kitchens are candidates for cabinet refacing. Refacing is dependent upon the style of your current cabinetry, the age and condition. Cabinet refacing is an attractive alternative when your current kitchen layout is suitable, functional and your boxes are in good condition.  Refacing is a great solution for clients that love the kitchen as a whole, and crave a new look to create a dramatic “impact” on their existing kitchen.

REFACING BENEFITS;

-Most refacing projects will save you money and will take very little time to complete
-Refacing vs. replacing will have the least amount of impact on the family as installs are usually  completed in a short period of 1-3 days with no disruption to most of the kitchens' functionality


REFACING ENHANCEMENTS & FUNCTIONALITY;

-Cabinet modification for new Micro Hood combos, larger fridge, additional cabinets that are needed
-Installation of clients' choice of handles or knobs
-Cabinet conversion, add drawers vs. doors 
-Add crown mouldings, light valance and matching toe kick where desired
-Supply and install new countertops if needed
-Add glass doors in select doors as per client
-Additional cabinets may be add ons or additional storage ideas

REFACING COSTS

Costs for refacing your kitchen range from a white on white just doors only, to a full colour change white to a wood toned PVC or lacquered wood door. An average kitchen will have roughly 30 pieces or a combination of drawers and doors that adds up to approximately 30 pieces. Average cost for a white on white doors only is about $3000-3500 depending on door style. Wood tone PVC and real wood for the same project can run costs between $4000-6000, again all costs dependant on your needs and what needs to be done for your kitchen makeover.
